famous plantation-resort, which originated from an old
simple plantation. It has a museum houses an electric
collection and guests are ferned around the resort by

Cruising
along Sariaya is like traveling back in time with the
view of big, old houses that reminisce the prosperous
living of our ancestors. European and american architecture
are very evident including its furniture and bathroom
features giving visitors a typical experience. Located
mostly in Rizal Street, it is very accessible to all
tourists to visit these ancestral houses and feel the
Vigan in Quezon. These ancestral houses that Sariaya
are famous for, were built during the coconut boom years
( world War 1 ) when coconut oil commanded high price
in the world market. Family belongs to the elite group
of the society owned these ancestral homes. They were
the Rodriquez,Enriquez and the Cabuñag. Today
the owner of these houses were live in Forbes Park,
Dasmariñas Village in Makati City and in the
United States and tended theirs caretakers to manage
the house, thus converted these houses into tourist
destinations. The maintenance, restoration and upkeep
of these houses should be the owners, legacy to the
people of Sariaya. Around 15 ancestral homes are still
intact in Sariaya.
